| Excursion. Here is an original photo that I took in Frankstown, Pennsylvania, just after noon on 17 October 1965. Shown here are the last four cars of the "Horseshoe Curve Excursion" that was sponsored by the Lancaster Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society. The switchman's shanty is visible at the left, while US Route 22 is discernable at the far right. Also note the "Cool Cats" taking in the view on the observation car! (#3 of 10) |
